How to remove the background noise in OBS ?
A sonorous sound is highly recommended for successful video streaming or video casting .People are using different types of applications for video streaming . Before choosing any application , we need to ensure that background noise should be less if we use that apps for streaming. To enhance the sound quality in obs , choose the option named as “filters”. Luckily there are so many filter options in obs to eradicate the noise from sound.
To include a filter , go to the option named as “Setting” in the audio mixer region and choice a filter . After choosing a filter, a window will pop out. Plus sign will be visible there , and we need to press on the plus button to add the filter. To reduce the noise from the background , select the option named as “Noise Gate ” and “Noise Suppression”. This two option helps to remove the background noise.
How to use Noise Suppression: Select noise suppression mode .Noise suppression filter helps to prevent the background noise . Add this filter for removing the noise . Start it with preset value. We can record or broadcast a sample for checking if the default value is okay or not to discard the background noise . If the background noise is not removed perfectly then we can play with suppression level. We can increase the level if the background noise is still there and lessen the level if the suppress level crops the voice along with background noise, then we need to lessen the suppression level. We need to be silent during recording . We can change the button by pressing it up and down to check the noise .
Noise Gate : There is another filter in OBS through which we can remove the background noise. This filter does not acts like a previous filter . This filter does not allow any signal to stream if the amplification of a signal falls under a fixed threshold level. Threshold level decides which sound will come and which sound will not come. In noise gate , there are two types of threshold remains . One is “Open threshold” and another one is “close threshold”. Noise gate can be used individually or with noise suppression. It is based on the amount of background noise . If a good output does not come with a suppression level then we can include noise gate also.
Every sample is different so we need to give some time and find out the best level that match with sound tone . There is another option named as “Attack time ” . Use it with preset value . This filters works on how fast the filter responds to silent the microphone when the sound level goes aloft the opening threshold.
Gain: This filters helps to remove some annoying background noise in recordings and streaming . With the help of this filter speech or sound track plays smoothly in-front of the spectators or listeners.
