After finishing the image editing tasks , when we see the photo it contains too much blocky artifacts in its body and it looks really bad. It may happen sometime not every-time. We can use those images by the help of photo-shop. All thanks goes to photo-shop as it has every problems solution. If we want to use those images , we need to improve and modify the images at first . Photo-shop has so many hidden features by which we can remove blocky artifacts easily. It is really helpful.
What is called artifacts in an image ?
When blocky artifacts can appear in a photo?
Step 1: Open your photo-shop application.Load your photos which contains the blocky artifacts in its body.
Step 2: To remove the blocky artifacts from your picture, go to the option named as “Filter” < Choose the option “Camera Raw Filter ”. A window will pop out and lots of options will be available there . Every option contains slider to increase or decrease its effects. You need to alter the options very carefully . If you fail to do all the things perfectly, then the final output will not be satisfactory.
Step 3: There will be available an option named as “Details”. In that option , there will be three more options will be available and they are : Sharpening, Noise Reduction, Color noise reduction. To use those option , there will be a triangle icon. Press on that triangle icon to open the option . Now use Sharpening, Noise Reduction, Color noise reduction option as per your needs. When you use the slider for “color noise reduction”, the blocky artifacts will be gone from images and it looks really much better than the previous looking.
If you use noise reduction option , then the blocky artifacts will not be removed but it will smooth the image . Go to the right side and use that slider to make the image perfect. Move the slider until you meet your desired effects. Press on the OK button and blocky images are gone. You can see the differences . Remember one thing that , color channel helps you to remove the blocky effects from image and noise reduction option helps to smooth the images .
How to remove jpeg artifacts in photo-shop
Go to the option filter < Select the option named as “Noise”< After that choose the option “Reduce noise”. Here you will see an option named as “Remove jpeg artifact”. You need to enable this option .You will find so many options are available there . They are : “strength”, “Preserve details”, “Reduce color noise” ,“Sharpen details”. In sharpen details option use the slider to balance the effects and apply this as per your needs. Hit the OKbutton. In strength filters, use the slider as per your wish. Strength filters allows to manage the quality of illumination noise reduction (in RGB image). The “details” option affects on the small parts such as : hair , quality , appearance in objects. Balance the slider until you meet the desired outputs and create a noise free background as well as a perfect subject.
New feature for erasing jpeg artifacts from any image:
There is another procedure to remove the jpeg artifacts. To do this, enable the new layer . Go to the option “Filter”< after that choose the option “Neural filters” . Go the the filtersnamed as “Beta filters”. This feature is available on photo-shop(2021). You will find an option named as “jpeg artifacts removal filter”. There will be a button . You are required to on that button . Photo-shop naturally erase the artifacts from that image . It is also time saving . There will be an option named as “strength”. It contains drop-down button . When you click on that button , you will find three option there and they are : low, medium and high . To get the perfect result , press on the option “High” . In the bottom , you will find the option “Output to ”. There will available many options too. You just need to select the option “smart filter” . Hit the OK button to see the changes you have made and the see the differences between the two methods .
Balance the Hue and saturation mode : In the HSL control board , Balance the hue , saturation mode with help of slider . Apply that slider until you meet your final expectation. You can apply lighter color or you can apply darker color on your desired image.
Rescue the soft pixels: Sometimes we use the fuzzy effects on image . When we use that hazy effect over a photo, then it looks very unnatural and boring . To avoid such issue, go to the menu board < choose “effect” < enlarge the pointer from Grain sector < hit the OK button.
This is how we can remove the blocky artifacts from an image . Make sure that you have removed the blocky artifacts from your picture before using the picture for your business purpose . If you have not removed the artifacts properly , then all the efforts will go in vain . So it is very important to remove the blocky artifact from any photo .
