Are you using Photoshop CC 2020 and can’t seem to locate the extra brush sets from previous Photoshop versions? Discover how all absent Photoshop brushes can be restored with the new set of Legacy Brushes! Throughout earlier Photoshop versions a set of extra brush sets could be loaded to Photoshop if you clicked the icon in the Brush Presets panel or the gear icon in the Brush Preset Picker. The following sets would include assorted pin, natural pin, special effect pin and more. However, as of Photoshop CC 2018, Adobe has made significant changes to the organization of Photoshop’s brushes. Additionally, the extra brush sets from previous versions of Photoshop appear to be missing at first glance. They haven’t vanished, thankfully. All of those extra brushes have been relocated to a different set called Legacy Brushes by Adobe, and here really how to find any brush you’re looking for!
Step 1: Select a menu item from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Choose “Brushes of Legacy”
Step 3: Click OK for the legacy restoration
Step 4: Choose from the list a legacy brush
Click the menu icon on the top right side of the Brushes panel to load the brush sets from earlier versions of Photoshop.
Or click the button of the gear in the top to the correct side of the Brush Preset Selector if the Brush Tool is selected. From the menu, select the new Legacy Brushes. To recover the Legacy Brushes, tap OK. Set, click OK when Photoshop asks. A new folder known as the Legacy Brushes is shown below the default folders in the Brushes panel or the Brush Preset Picker.
To find all other the entire past brush sets Photoshop versions, including the old default brush, open the “Legacy Brushes” folder. To pick a brush, twirl opens all the legacy sets and picks the necessary brush. And we’ve got it there!
