There are two types o in Photoshop point type and area type. At a certain location in the image, point type is applied to a document. The bounding box is re-dimensioned using the point type scale. The container type re-dimension forces the text to reflect within the area type container; the type keeps the original size and size of the container. Consider typical points as headlines in a newspaper or magazine. Normally 1 line is used however 2 or 3 lines can be taken.
